Il Roland Garros è sempre un torneo particolare, soprattutto per gli amanti della terra e per quelli che si recano a Parigi solamente per gridare “Po-po-po-po-ro-po-po” per sentirsi rispondere dall’intero Philippe Chatrier “olè“. Fino ad oggi tutti i pronostici sono stati rispettati per quanto riguarda il torneo maschile: quasi tutti i top ten nelle fasi finali del torneo e Nadal che stra domina concedendo poco o nulla agli avversari. Probabilmente per quanto riguarda il tabellone femminile sono abbastanza pesanti le eliminazioni di Angelique Kerber e Garbine Muguruza, da sommare alle assenze di Serena Williams in maternità e Maria Sharapova, alla quale è stata negata una wild card dalla federazione francese.
